RE: RZR S…Who is getting one? Who has one?

Not to derail the talk about the RZR but has anyone heard more from Artic Cat about the release time of the Prowler with the 1000 motor in it?

RE: Faulty Valve Stems

I have had all of the stems on my dually go bad recently. Had to have all 6 replaced, all within about a 3 week period. They were put on the truck about the time the recall covers. I raised cain at the tire dealer when valve stem # 4 went bad and they replaced all of them with the steel ones for me for free. They all looked like they had dry rotted and cracked.

Dumont Dunes

Just a heads up for those of you that go to Dumont. Over the last season there were camera crews following the rangers. The footage is set to air Monday night. It is a show called Party Heat. It airs on TruTV or what used to be Court Tv. It is scheduled for 8PM June 2'nd. It will be interesting to see how they show Dumont.

RE: Best Quad for the Dunes?

You mentioned riding with the kids also. How old are they and how fast do they ride? That might play into your decision. I would have to vote for the 700 Raptor here as you can put it in second and it will run around all day without having to shift at slower speeds. Just let the torque pull you along. Great for riding with new or slower riders.

RE: Here is who Supports the Sierra Club

Well, just because you do some good things doesn't make up for the stupid things you do. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson probably do some things right too but the world would be a better place without them, same with the ACLU.
Like I do with PETA, Greenpeace, WWF etc. I certainly support many of the things the Sierra Club has done over the years while on the other hand think some of their reasoning and/or agendas are absolutely ludicrous to say the least … but here’s the real head-scratcher … the ACLU? The organization that exists solely to protect our individual constitutional rights? Huh? It’s the ACLU that is protecting US from large organizations like the Sierra Club, political and religious factions etc. I can only imagine the mess we would live in here without them and I guarantee organizations like the Sierra Club would be the very least of our worries.
The ACLU does not exist to solely protect individual rights. They pick and choose which rights and for whom they want to defend. They have never stood up for the Second Amendment. Last I checked that is still a right under the Bill of Rights. In fact they have come out publicly as being AGAINST the 2'nd.
Far as for me, ALL of the rights have equal weight. Since ACLU seems to think some are more important than others they are a joke to me and a lot of others.

RE: Laboring whether to purchase new toy!

I currently have 2 cruisers. My one recent concession was getting rid of the sport bike and switching over to the cruisers. Have to agree with the others. Bikes are something that gets in your blood. I could not imagine not having a motorcycle. I work in the medical field and most of the people I know think I am nuts. The big thing is to be defensive and always watch your surroundings.

RE: what's so special about my Inferno?

Just renewed my policy on my trailer. Paying $385 a year with full replacement coverage. I am using Explorer RV Insurance. They also where able to get me coverage on my cars that was less expensive than anyone else.

RE: ATV questions....no answers....just questions

Ok. I'm really getting sick and tired of all the recent threads bashing ATV's and telling me to stop riding them before I get injured for life or killed. You know what.. It is MY CHOICE. I make the decisions on what I do for fun. Life is full of risks. I CHOOSE to ride and I don't want any of you telling me otherwise. If you don't like ATV's so much stop coming to the ToyHauler section and stop reading about them and let those of us who do like them enjoy them without your meddling.
Off my soapbox. Let the Blue Hair Attack begin........

RE: Dunont Dunes 4 Presidents Weekend

Verizon works for most anywhere out there. Also vendor row is to the right of the main road now back behind the sheriff's camp.
Paddles will depend on how agressive you want to ride and what you are riding. Airing down in the camping area is a personal preferance. I usually don't and haven't had any problems in a while. If you do run into trouble there will be plenty of help since President's Day is one of the big weekends

RE: Side X Side

The RZR has a strong aftermarket now getting stronger everyday. I has 10 times the amount of stuff the Rhino did 5Months after it first came out, so no worries there, I have seen rear seats on RZR's so they are out there.
Put your name in now for a RZR it will be months before you get it, and you can always forfeit you spot in line.
Those must be some tiny seats just for kids I'm assuming. Are there any pics available?
Here is one that I found. I personally would not even be able to fit in the back. We are talking toddlers and smaller if you want a 4 seat RZR.

RE: Lemon Law

Actually the Lemon Law does apply to trailers. I know this from firsthand experience using it on my previous trailer. Mods, not trying to break the rules about lawsuits just wanted to clarify that Lemon Law does apply. Delete it if it's a problem.

RE: Directions from Dumont to Las Vegas

Not sure of the Tecopa Road number. I have found that going a little further out on 127 to Shoshone and then taking the right onto 178 and taking that into Parhump isn't that much longer. The Tecopa Road is pretty rough and has the one pass with some tight turns. The 178 is mostly straight and lets you make good time.

Definitely want to know about the road conditions. Let u knw when you get back. Will be heading out the weekend of the 27'th and the 28'th.
Got to find a new place to park though as Vendor Row is now going to be right where we usually camp.
